Snow Day Partner Programs
When severe weather strikes and our schools are closed, our partners at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley and YMCA can help! Both programs offer care options for families on these days. From structured activities to nutritious meals, they provide a safe and nurturing environment for students when schools are closed due to severe weather or other unexpected situations.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley
The Boys and Girls Club of Appleton, located in downtown Appleton at 160 South Badger Avenue, offers all-day programming on non-school days, and potentially also on severe weather days, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Families should watch the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley social media pages for the most updated related information on hours and operations.
- They encourage families to register for a $15 school-year membership via the caregiver portal, this allows their student to attend at any time. Registration for non-school days, spring break, and winter break will open in the Caregiver Portal beginning on July 22, 2024. The membership has no attendance requirement. This option provides the easiest access to BGC facilities on non-school days. Learn more here.
- Meals (breakfast, snack, lunch) are provided at no cost to Club families.
- In case of an AASD two-hour weather delay, the AM school-based Club program will not operate, but the PM school-based Club program will operate as usual.
- In the case of an AASD after-school activity cancellation due to weather, the PM Club program may operate normally, but early pickup is encouraged for student and staff safety.
- If school is canceled, BGC school site-based programs are also canceled. Club branches will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. unless notified otherwise by the BGC.

- Families provide a cold lunch and a morning and afternoon snack is provided.
- In case of an AASD two-hour weather delay, there is no School Age AM Program, but the PM Program operates as usual.
